  1. Always a good time of the year for leaf colour. Not only in forests or woods, but in our bonsai collections as well. In mine of course there are the maples, but the best display for me is a truly stunning display from a hornbeam. It radiates a wonderful pink colour from the bottom of our garden, but sadly only lasts for a couple of days. The leaves are all brown and crispy and will remain there until the spring.
