Where to start. Where to go.
Bonsai from the Colorado region
A – winter look
B – late autumn look – the yellowish colour
C – not shown here for the full blossoms ( A may suits for it as well )
D – not shown here for the full summer
All pots having the same sizes so the repotting is possible without too much struggle. I am planning to try this approach with one of my P.spinosa.

Pot A with the yellow hues of pot B would be perfect!

For me the horizontal lines on pot A contradict the flow of the tree.

B. There is a lot of texture with the leaves and the trunk. The smooth pot provides some relief.

I love the pot A, when the tree is presented on the log with wire. Pot B would be better, if the tree is presented on more classical bonsai stands. I think the wired log with the colorfull pot is too much. Both pots are great. But the change of the stand was not questioned 🙂

Hi Rasto… the pot does determine what stand would work well with each pot. ‘B’ would require a formal mor traditional stand.

Both wonderful pots. Prefer B as it provides a better color balance with the brilliant foliage
